New question from a reader: I thought Amy was a bit underdeveloped. Why? We discovered her personality and what type of person she is but not much about her life prior to to the event.

Great question. Amy was left under-developed for a reason. You're right we do know very little about her past other than where she is from and who her family was. But, have no fear you will see Amy again and her character will conitue to develope as more is revealed about her in "The demon Dead: Troubled waters"

This story, the first and last third of it anyway, had been bouncing around in my head for years but the "Gomer" concept was actually an afterthought. Th original idea was for just traditional(Ramero) zombies and demons. The idea for the gomer didn't actually hit me until I was writing the scene where John wakes up in the barn loft and sees the farmer and the cow. I didn't originally plan on the farmer being a gomer. From a reader: "How can demons be smarter and faster than regular zombie's? I mean it's the same brain right?

Good question. And the answer is that the demons can think for themselves.(this was covered in the book as a theory of one of our characters) They are seperate entities who are able to enter the body of the zombie because of the departure of soul. So they are able to occupy that space and use the zombie's body to inhabit the physical world.
